The player can use spawn points to begin their gameplay within a specific region of the city. The possibility of unlocking them will begin when the side quest Unlock Spawn Point becomes available. There are 7 spawn points to NBA 2K22 MT choose from.

All locations of spawn are free simultaneously when the side quest is finished. It is required that players run a specific distance through the City in order to complete the quest. The setting of the spawn point may be done from an online City map by selecting the desired spawn zone and then confirming the location.

In the Unlock Spawn Points side quest is given by ATM which is an NPC found in the City, and requires participants to walk 26.2 miles. It must be completed on foot, therefore using the BMX skateboards, skateboards, and rollerblades will not add to the total amount that is travelled. The person must be running and not walking. The quest's tracking will show an indicator for progress on the left-hand part of the monitor, so players will always know how far they've ran.

The total distance is measured over time , and doesn't have to be completed at one time. It is important to note that running at a distance won't be counted, so running continuously won't be effective if there's obstacles in NBA 2K Coins the path. Once the players reach 26.2 miles and finish it, the majority the spawn locations will be unlocked. A spawn point may be added to the map in one of 7 locations.
